The Princes islands are well worth a visit

A touristic cruise is the easiest way to reach Büyukada, which is the main island of the Princes´Islands. The boat ride takes about 75 minutes and you can return to Istanbul at 2:30 oder 3:30 pm. We explored the island by foot and used the audio guide app. The map in the app does not work without mobile internet, so we had some trouble finding some of the sights and did not find the lost orphanage.
If you are fast and do not want to have lunch on the island, you can take the boat at 2:30 pm. Unfortunately the lookout at the old watch tower on the hill was closed. It is not really worth hiking up when its closed and there was a lot of rubbish at the smaller lookout next to the church.

We were on the islands on a Saturday and there were just too many people on both the ferry and the island at once. But the islands themselves are gorgeous and definitely worth a visit.

Well worth paying a little bit more then the regular ticket price. It took us only two minutes to pick up the tickets and get on the boat. Highly recommended if you don’t like waiting in lines!

Does the job but the constant selling on the boat was noisy and annoying. In addition the departure port told us the wrong time for the final boat and the final boat was, in fact, an hour earlier!

on a fait l iles a pied car on voulait pas prendre une calèche les pauvres chevaux avait l air épuiser. on a manger dans un restaurant en bord de mer .il faut prendre ce quond veut car a chaque fois le serveur voulait mous rajouter des truc .on s est retrouver avec de la salade alors que dans le plat y ana et d autres truc

Het duurt 1 1/2 uur met de boot om er te komen, daarom is vroeg in de ochtend vertrekken handiger.. Wij hadden eigenlijk te weinig tijd om van alles te zien. Het eiland is juist heerlijk rustig, en de moeite waard om er naar toe te gaan!

Mooie vaartocht naar de eilanden. Tochtje met paard en wagen gedaan. Je krijgt n beetje n idee over het eiland. Verder is het n beetje vergaane glorie. Ver verouderd. Leuk om gedaan te hebben.

Une Île magnifique. Le ferry nous a déposé sur l’Île Buyukada. Les restaurants juste au bord de mer offrent une vue magnifique et sont très bons et pas trop chers. Comptez environ 10€ par personne. Le tour en calèche était aussi très agréable, pour 120lyra. Le trajet en ferry tout aussi plaisant ! Vraiment, je recommande. Cela a été la meilleure journée de mon séjour!

Ferry à l heure et facile à trouver, l ile aux princes vaut le détour pour une petite journée balade. Le temps de bateau est assez long il faut compter 1h30 par trajet.
