About this experience
Meet your local guide at the entrance of the legendary Hagia Sophia where you will be introduced to the stunning architecture of the building. You will be entertained with stories and facts about the 1,500 year old history while you get an up close look at the world famous mosaics incorporated into the building’s design.
Afterwards, we will move to our second site, located just across the way, the 16th century imperial Mosque of Sultan Ahmet, renowned as the Blue Mosque.
On the way to the next site, Topkapi Palace, your guide will tell you all that they can about the Roman and Byzantine Empire during the five minute walk it takes to arrive. When you arrive at the glorious Topkapi Palace we visit the free of charge areas and you will learn about the history of the Ottoman Empire and what you can expect inside this museum.

Our tour ends at the first courtyard inside Topkapi Palace. From here you will be given valuable advice on how to continue to explore Istanbul in the best way possible. We will also explain how to explore, using free audio guide apps, Topkapi Palace and Harem at your own pace or the option to enter the Topkapi Palace Museum

Obligatory tour if you are visiting Istanbul for the first time
It is a mandatory historical visit for everybody that comes to Istanbul for the first time. Our guide Oğulcan was passionate about the highlights included in the tour and professional - being that around 80% of the Blue Mosque is currently under reconstruction, he went the extra mile and expanded the tour by providing interesting info about Hippodrome and promptly answered all of our questions. Highly recommended!
